Palm Island Concert

The AFCM in collaboration with SeaLink and the Palm Island Community are celebrating the new Palm Island jetty with a day trip that will feature a concert with AFCM artists and Palm Island primary school children.

AFCM Festival page for this event
The new jetty finally allows ferry services independent of tide restrictions and a leisurely day visit is now an option.

To celebrate we join the Palm Island community for a day of relaxed entertainment. Departing the Breakwater Ferry Terminal in Townsville at 11:00am, we cruise to Palm Island, hoping the whales will appear along the way.

Arriving at approximately 12:30pm we will be greeted and have lunch.

The concert will start at 3:00pm so there will be time for getting acquainted with the history and natural beauty of the island and its spectacular setting.

The concert will feature AFCM musicians the charismatic William Barton (didjeridu/guitar), the brilliant New York based Yousif Sheronick (percussion) and Brisbane’s energetic Camerata of St John’s. They will be joined by some talented locals!
